Description
The Simplecom KM490 is a dual monitor KVM switch that allows two computers to share two displays and four USB peripherals. Equipped with both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 display ports, it supports extended or mirrored display modes with video resolution of up to 8K at 60Hz for crystal-clear visuals. The integrated 4-port USB 3.0 hub toggles together with the displays, and the four SuperSpeed USB ports offer data transfer rates of up to 5Gbps for mice, keyboards, USB drives, printers and more. It is backward compatible with earlier versions of USB, HDMI and DP. Switching between computers is simple using the on-device toggle button or the remote control. Installation is plug and play with no drivers required and multi-platform compatibility. The durable aluminium alloy casing ensures long-lasting use and efficient heat dissipation, while LED indicators show power and active computer status. The switch also works in single monitor mode.

Important Note
- Powered by USB, the USB-C power cable can be plugged into a USB port on the computer for 4K@60Hz or lower resolution
- A USB power adapter is required for 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz and higher refresh rates
- For a stable connection, please use high quality DP and HDMI cables
- For 8K compatibility, DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables are required
- This KVM switch also works in single monitor mode
- It is recommended to adjust to the same resolution and refresh rate on both computers for smooth switching
