Description
The Simplecom SE538 is a high-performance M.2 SSD enclosure designed to support both NVMe and SATA M.2 SSDs with dual protocol compatibility, allowing M Key or B+M Key M.2 SSDs to be easily converted into a portable USB drive for fast external storage. A USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface enables data transfer rates of up to 20Gbps, fully utilising the performance of high-speed NVMe M.2 SSDs, while support for the TRIM command helps optimise data writing to extend SSD lifespan. Built from durable aluminium, the enclosure features a heat sink style top cover for excellent heat dissipation, complemented by an internal thermal pad that further improves heat transfer efficiency. The enclosure is USB powered, requiring no external power source, and includes an eye-catching LED indicator with RGB effect for power and activity status. It's plug and play, requiring no driver software for setup.

Important Note
SE538 supports both NVMe and SATA protocol based M.2 SSD (M Key or B+M Key), bandwidth will be limited to 6Gbps when using a SATA M.2 SSD, as the maximum transfer rate of SATA protocol is 6Gbps.
SE538 can only achieve data transfer rates up to 20Gbps when connecting to a PC using a 20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2x2 host port.
Speed is limited to 10Gbps on USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB4 and Thunderbolt port
